His Story
Dr. Mufti Muhammad Umair Aslam is the Founder and Director of Al-Islam Institute International, an institution dedicated to bridging traditional Islamic scholarship with the academic rigor and accessibility demanded by the modern world. His journey in Islamic learning began in childhood, progressing through the traditional curriculum of classical Islamic sciences before he pursued advanced specialization in Fiqh and Ifta.
Driven by a conviction that authentic Islamic scholarship must engage directly with questions of governance, society and public life, he pursued doctoral studies at the University of Malaya, completing a PhD in Islamic Political Studies with a focus on Siyasah Shariyyah.
Over more than two decades of service, Dr. Umair Aslam has delivered over a thousand lectures globally, authored over 50 research articles, and built Al-Islam Institute International from a local teaching effort into a multi-country organization.
